The world ending in 2012

Alot of people have differnt feelings on wether the world is going to end in 2012, because of many reasons. One being the Mayan calender stopped there, another being thatsomething bad is supposed to happe that year from a myth.
I'm not sure wether I belive its not going to end in 2012 or not yet.

I dont beleive in it

I think it`s a nonsense... again. There was many of these so called prophecies before and look! We are still here!
What about the "end of the world" in the year 2000? Was there any? I don`t think so.
That`s it.

Thats part of why I'm not really sure, because of how many other ones there were before.

Of, the whole doomsday factor... There's been about a million predictions of the world ending in the 1900's and in the year 2000...

And unless my eyes are deceiving me, I see fellow human beings here. Duh!

And we can always adapt. Learn to live underground or mutate ourselves to make us fly. Pfft, by the time the world ends we'll be living on Mars!

They have two theories(and I think there might be others, not sure):
1.) The Mayan calendar stops on December 21, 2012 (Big deal. Huge deal. So what? A calendar ends. Go buy a new one. )

2.) The infamous 'Planet X' is on a trajectory course to hit our planet in 2012. (Okay..? And what if this planet doesn't hit? Why don't we do what we do in movies- send out a team to plant some atomic bombs on it and fly away? Huh? HUH?)

Because its not easy moving all those bombs up there.

Why don`t we kill ogres like in movies? Simply because there are no ogres around I think.

Do you know what makes those books about 2012 so "scientific"? Because those are full of words that a regular human can`t even understand. And there are words that you can`t even found in any dictionary. Not even real scientists heard about those words. And that means it`s science fiction.

If the world ends.... It doesn't really end. The scientists- or whoever it is, means that human life will die out and most of the life on earth. But not the actual planet dying.


Plus, some animals/plants are bound to survive! What about the dinosaurs? You can't say nothing survived, because WE'RE HERE, so we must have evolved from something!

Its bullshit mate. NOT gonna happen. The Mayans made an error you know the real date is 21.. the exact date I don't know only that its 100 years later.

Okay, so the world won't live forever, but it's not gonna end in two years.
The actual real scientists believe that 5,000 years in the future the sun will become so big it will swallow up the earth.

Anyway, I still believe the world won't end. I bet someone 10 years ago made a topic that said "Do you believe the world will end in 2000?" or something. No.
